THE WAY OF LIFE

Without proper repentance, we cannot face God. The accuser, Satan, will accuse us and try to demean us before the Lord, as he did regarding Moses in Jude 1:9 and to the High Priest Joshua in Zechariah 3.

Joshua the High Priest was clothed with filthy garments as he stood before the Angel of the Lord, representing his sin and the stained state of his soul. Satan stood there to accuse him, pinpointing every sin, having himself been judged for the pride that originated in him. Yet, men commit sins even worse than these. Too often, we keep crucifying the Lord again.

God asked the prophet Moses to put off his shoes in order to be in His presence. That was his past sins holding on to him. If God wants even our garments to be holy, how much more will He want our souls to be?

We must live at peace with everyone, holding no grudges and forgiving those who have hurt or spoken ill of us. Let us remove all filth from our hearts. God is a righteous judge, and the judgment will be severe for those who know the Lord.
