  • NOT BY MIGHT, NOR BY POWER, BUT BY MY SPIRIT!

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6).

Where human strength, wisdom, and influence end, the Spirit of God begins.

The Almighty God told Zerubbabel to rebuild the temple not by human might or power, but by His Spirit. He taught His people that His plans cannot be achieved by human strength alone, but only through divine empowerment.

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God” (Psalm 20:7).

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, the divine Comforter, Teacher, Counsellor, and Guide who works in the lives of those who belong to Christ.

The Lord Jesus Himself promised His disciples: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me” (Acts 1:8).

The disciples of our Lord were ordinary people with human weaknesses, fears, and limitations. Yet, when the Holy Spirit came upon them at Pentecost, their lives were transformed. The Apostle Peter who had once denied Lord Jesus out of fear, stood boldly before the multitude and proclaimed the Gospel.

The Holy Spirit empowers believers by granting courage in fear, wisdom in confusion, strength in weariness, understanding in ignorance, and comfort in sorrow.

Every one of us encounters mountains.

Some mountains are made of fear. Some are made of disappointment, rejection, financial struggles, broken relationships, unanswered prayers, and uncertainty about tomorrow.

Some mountains are visible to everyone, while others are hidden deep within the human heart.

We often exhaust ourselves trying to overcome these mountains through our own understanding. We struggle, worry, become anxious, and sometimes lose hope because we cannot see a way forward.

But have we forgotten who walks before us? The God who created the heavens and the earth is not intimidated by the mountains standing before His children.

The Lord Jesus said: “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20).

The obstacle may be enormous in your eyes, but it is never greater than His authority. The God who gives the assignment also provides the grace to fulfil it.

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6).

God’s timing may not always agree with our expectations, but His faithfulness never fails.

Continue to pray, trust, obey, and walk in His Spirit. May every achievement bring glory to His name, every blessing remind us of His goodness, and every victory draw us closer to Him.
