Touch not woman.
A sin is a sin. A stain is a stain. Adultery and fornication will stain the soul.
“You shall not commit adultery. You shall not covet your neighbour’s house, you shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is your neighbour’s” (Exodus 20:14,17).
You have heard that it was said by them of old time , You shall not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart” (Matthew 5:27,28).
How can a soul meet the Lord with this stain?
The soul can never face God because He is All Holy. The brightness radiating around Him is due to His holiness. Only the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ can cleanse such souls. God will forgive only if a soul repents; however, the thought of repentance never arises when a soul is fully controlled by the spirit of lust.
“But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroys his own soul. A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away “ ( Prov 6:32,33).
If you truly fear God, you will stay away from this sin, being truthful and faithful to your spouse. Furthermore, the unmarried ones will keep their garments holy.
“And others save with fear, pulling them out of fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh” (Jude 23).
God says many are not faithful and truthful. Your heart is open to the Lord. You are not truthful to your wife. He has marked your sin. Repent now and escape His sword. And you—yes, you—are friendly with other men, yet you show anger and hatred towards your own husband. Ah! Are you right in the sight of God?
Repent now. Be united, be truthful, be holy, be righteous. He will search your heart and your deeds. It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
“But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee” (1 Sam 13:14).
“And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will” (Acts 13:22).
King David was close to the Lord’s heart yet God punished his generation. Sin entered through his eyes.
Touch not woman.
Taste not wine
In Genesis 6:8–9, Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. He was just, righteous, and perfect in his generation, and he walked with God. However, in Genesis 9:20–27, Noah became drunk and lay naked in his tent. When his nakedness was revealed, his son Ham saw him and told his brothers. Consequently, Noah cursed Ham’s son, Canaan. Even though Noah had walked with God, his drunkenness led him to bring a curse upon a future generation. As the saying goes, a drunkard knows not what he says or does.
“Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder” ( Prov 23:32).
Taste not wine for God hates the drunkards.
There are many who touch and taste, then stand and preach the Word of God without an iota of guilt. Yet, God sees every secret sin. Shouting and screaming from the pulpit after hurting the Lord and staining themselves is to no avail.
“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son” (2 John 9).
In many deliverance ministries, the preacher and prayer warriors continue to pray while the spirit manifests, yet true deliverance never occurs. Evil spirits do not fear tainted preachers; instead, Satan will put you to shame and cause embarrassment. You must fast and repent. The All-Holy, All-Perfect Lord Jesus Christ commanded the spirits with authority and power through His word. He said ‘Go,’ and the soul was delivered. The evil spirits screamed and fled. This spiritual authority is a result of His holiness; even hell must tremble in fear.
Handle not spirituality when you are sinful.
You can attend several sessions of prayer meetings and services, clap hands, and rejoice, but God will truly intervene in your life only if you wait upon Him as a family. Family prayer is more important for inviting God into your home. Personal prayer is for growing in Christ-like holiness and having visions and visitations. Both are very essential for healthy spiritual growth. Be wise.
Touch not; taste not; handle not (Colossians 2:21).
