  • FINDING STRENGTH IN SILENCE

“He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit”(Proverbs 17:27).

The Holy Spirit whispers a profound truth to our hearts: true authority is measured not by the volume of our voices, but by the depth of our restraint.

Scripture reveals that knowledge isn’t proven by how much we can say, but by what we choose not to say.

When the Spirit of God anoints you, you become a person of rare understanding, marked by an excellent spirit. Your peace cannot be easily disrupted.

In Proverbs 10:19, we are reminded: “In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is wise.” The more we speak out of impulse, the more we open the door to regret, gossip, and pride. Our words carry immense weight. As Proverbs 18:21 warns, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”

    Words either hurt or heal.

The Apostle James says to be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath (James 1:19).

Let’s listen first to God and to the brokenhearted rather than argue. When conflict arrives, respond with grace instead of fire because “a soft answer turns away wrath.”
